Peoria UBF Report and Prayer Topics, USA
“I can do everything through him who gives me strength" (Php 4:13).
I thank God that he has been with me and has given me strength to pray for several people in Peoria while I was working there as a contractor for Caterpillar for the last four years. Initially, I did not have any intention to go to Peoria, IL, but a job agency chose my resume and accepted the application I posted online.
With my wife's and children’s approval and the prayer support of co-workers and God’s servants, I was able to commute from Chicago to Peoria every week. It would require several pages to report all that has happened and how God blessed the outreach and one-to-one Bible study ministry. I met a programmer, Wilbert in my work team. He has been my outreach and prayer partner. I met Randy in the apartment where I lived. He became my Bible study partner and friend in Christ. By the grace of God, I could complete studying Acts, 1 Peter, Jude, Genesis, half of John’s gospel, the Sermon of the Mount, and other passages with Chase R., Jon B., Kyle S., Jennifer P., Jeremy M., and Caitlin B. It was the work of the Holy Spirit that Kyle heard the word of God right before his suicide attempt and became a child of God.
Last week, my project contract with Caterpillar ended. I returned to Chicago and received a warm welcome from my wife and children and co-workers. I pray that God may send a Bible teacher to Peoria to work with Brendan D. and others. Thank you so much for all your prayers and support.
