Gwang Woon Center Summer Bible Conference Report, Korea
We held the 2011 Summer Bible Conference from July 28th to 31st. There were 60 attendants. The title of the conference was "Father, Forgive them."
We prepared and held the conference by focusing on prayer. God helped all leaders to pray for an hour everyday prior to the World Mission Report. We wanted to have the conference not as an event, but to make a right relationship with the Lord and to please him. We prayed for 70 attendants: 24 people from chapters 1, 2 and 3. Each day, all messengers met at 10 p.m. to have praise and pray. Five minutes before the messengers' meeting, we prayed for them. God helped the messengers to have the spirit of repentance.
During the day, married and single shepherdesses prayed for an hour every day. Through this prayer support, testimony sharers prepared their hearts and diligently wrote their testimonies before the conference.
We prayed even during the conference. One group praised and prayed while the other group wrote testimony or had genuine conversation. God was pleased by the repentance of the messengers. When leaders confessed their hidden sins boldly, students were moved and sincerely repented of their sins. The students willingly sang hymns and prayed until the early morning.
The freshman brothers: Sung-Chul Kim, Hong-Kook Kim, Jae-Seung Han, Hwan-Seung Shin and Gwan-Nam Park each made a decision to live as a disciple of Jesus. Sophomore student In-Bok Hwang attended the summer conference for the second time and received the grace of God. Among sisters, Jung-Hoon Jung, So-Yun Yang, Min-Joo Jung, Hyun-Sook Kim and Yu-Min Jo stood firm in their faith.
Almost all attendants participated by either delivering a message or sharing a testimony. God answered our prayers and blessed all attendants.
