M. Samuel H. Lee's news from Zimbabwe
Dear Mission Co-workers,
I and my wife, Anna Ok-hee, departed from Johannesburg, South Africa on August 8 and arrived safely at Harare International Airport in Zimbabwe. M. James L., whom I longed to see, came far into the customs area to welcome us. So we were able to pass through the custom booth without any difficulty.
Olive and Shepherd, Zimbabwean fathers of faith, were in the arrival area outside of customs where they joyfully welcomed us. We soon headed for M. Suzanna Y.’s house and were treated with a delicious lunch there. After, we moved to a lodge that our missionaries booked in advance for us and unpacked. In the evening, we went to M. James’ house and had very pleasant fellowship over dinner with M. Petra, M. Caleb S., M. Rebecca, M. Jacob Y., and M. Suzanna and all their children.
Over the past two days, we opened a cell phone account by the help of M. Petra and M. Susanna and had time to adjust to the new environment. The Holy Spirit has given us good health and is helping us to adjust to this new place well so that we hardly feel any jetlag.
Through the mediation of M. James, I was able to make an appointment with the Vice-Chancellor of the National University of Zimbabwe for Aug. 31 at 11:00 a.m. to outline the opening of a Korean language course at the university. I had been praying for this issue that God may give us a long-term visa to stay in Zimbabwe. I pray that God may move the Vice-Chancellor’s heart and open the way for us. I also earnestly ask for prayer support for this issue from all our mission co-workers.
