Beautiful Wedding between David and Jieun Choi, Chicago
After thunder and lightening all the morning, the bright sunshine in the afternoon was more precious than any other time. On that special day of August 20, 2011, God established a beautiful house church between David Choi Jr. and Jieun Esther Heo. Guests from Germany, Korea and many senior staff shepherds from all USA and Chicago Area coworkers came to bless this wedding ceremony filling Chicago UBF Center. The wedding ceremony began with M. Barry’s opening prayer. Pastor Ron Ward blessed them with 1 Peter 2:9, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
David Choi Jr. was an excellent football player. During his UIC junior he accepted Mark 10:45, “Even the Son of man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Then he received Geneses 12:2 as his life key verse. He is determined to give his life as a source of blessing for many.
Jieun Esther repented and received Christ in second grade. As a teenage girl she had a dream to be a missionary to Africa. She entered a medical school to be a medical missionary. She accepted John 12:24 as her life key verse to live as a kernel of wheat. She prayed specifically regarding her marriage, for one who has a warm hand. God heard her prayer. David is also sacrificial and generous too. May God bless them as God’s special possession, a kingdom of priests and a holy nation serving UIC campus ministry in this generation. Prayers of dedication were done by P. Abraham Kim, Dr. James Kim, M. David Hong. After special music the wedding was over by the benediction of Dr. John Jun.
