The first Northwest regional Summer Bible Conf. Report
“The Father’s Love”
“So he got up and went to his father. "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.” (Luke 15:20)
The first Northwest regional Summer Bible Conference was held on July 8-10. A total of 31 people from four chapters joined the conference: Seattle (3 families), Tri-Cities, WA (Dr. Abraham Jung’s family), Victoria, Canada (Msn. Joshua Park’s family), and Vancouver, Canada (Dr. John Kim’s family). Guests from Chicago (M. Jose and Maria). The conference was held at a beautiful place near Mountain Baker with the theme of “The Father’s Love”. We heard five messages, which included: John 3:16 (God so loved the world by Dr. Abraham Jung of Tri-city), Luke 15:11-32 (The Father’s Love by Msn. Joshua Park of Victoria, Canada), John 12:24 (A kernel of wheat by Dr. Jose Ahn, Chicago), Luke 8:40-56 (Don’t be afraid, just believe by Dr. Philip Won of Seattle), and 1 Peter 2:9-10 (A new identity by Dr. John Kim of Vancouver, Canada). Ben W. (Seattle) and Dr. Abrahams Omoding (Uganda) shared their life testimonies. Msn. John Kim of Vancouver brought Dr. Kurt who is a professor at the University of British Columbia (Earth sciences). We pray that Dr. Kurt may grow as a gospel coworker for Msn. John Kim’s ministry. In 2010, Dr. John Jun visited the northwestern chapters and he gave us a prayer topic of having a united conference. We thank God that God answered to our prayer this time and the four chapters began to form a vessel of the Holy Spirit. Everyone really enjoyed the conference and we are already looking forward to having the next one. Dr. Jose Ahn served the conference wholeheartedly by training messengers. By his help, all messages were delivered powerfully and gracefully. M. Abraham Song (Seattle) made an environment as a servant for the prayer topics and announcement. Isaac, Joy Song and Dr. Maria served as singspiration leaders. John Kim Jr. served as presider. We thank God for blessing the first historical northwestern regional conference with abundant word of God. May God continue to grow the northwestern region and bless each chapter abundantly.
Thank you for all your prayers.
In Christ,
Dr. Philip Won
