Homecoming ceremony of M. Hannah Kim, Washington
Dear fellow mission coworkers,
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." (Romans 8:37)
We are more than conquerors because God loved us through his Son our Lord Jesus. Nothing in the world is able to separate us from the love of God. Last Sunday I lost one precious solider in Christ, M. Hannah Kim. I did not understand God's will but I trusted his sovereignty in losing M. Hannah. God's plan is better than mine. She suffered from Evans' Syndrome which is an autoimmune disease in which an individual's antibodies attack their own RBCs. With prayers from coworkers and proper treatment from a good doctor she was healed from this disease. She took classes to prepare for the nursing school admission and worked full time to support two children and served others with word of God and love. She looked so happy when she passed her chemistry class last spring. When six second gens visited Washington last April, she cooked delicious dinner and waited for them until 10 PM when they delayed coming due to a traffic jam in the highway. She was always willing to serve others in spite of her poor life in America.
Without a green card she endured many hardships to survive as a tent-maker missionary. She fought a good spiritual fight to remain in the mission land so that she may serve campus students. Three weeks ago the autoimmune disease reoccurred and in spite of doctors' efforts and prayer support, God had another plan and he took her to be with him last Sunday. She is only 48 years old. She left behind her two children Rebecca Kim and Caleb Kim Jr. Rebecca Kim (Somang in Korean) is a freshman at Maryland (18 years old) and Caleb Jr will begin his college life in the fall (17).
Please pray for two children to follow their mother's vision to become a good Bible teacher and prayer mother for America.
We will set up Hope(Somang) Education fund for their educational expenses if you would like to contribute donations for M. Hannah Kim. You can send your donation to 3604 Metzerott Road College Park, MD 20740 USA payable to "Do Kim"
