Milwaukee I Easter Bible Conf. Report, USA
We had a wonderful Easter Bible Conference at UWM Union on April 8-10. The theme of the conference was “No Greater Love” based on John 19-21. Twenty-five to thirty attended each program, and a total of fifty attended including children and partial attendees. Jeff and Grace Cummings from Tampa, Florida also attended with their son Zechariah.
On Friday evening Paul Dang Jr. delivered a message, “Jesus laid down his life,” based on John 19:16b-30. After his message, Tim Ralston presented “Prayer for the Nations: USA” and we prayed together for the USA. On Saturday morning after group Bible study, Jodi Brown delivered a heart-moving message, “A voice I know,” based on John 20:1-18. After her message, Joanne Lee presented “Prayer for the Nations: North Korea” and we prayed together for North Korea. On Saturday evening James Tetzlaff delivered a powerful message, “Believe,” based on John 20:24-31. After his message Emmnauel Sona presented “Prayer for the Nations: Cameroon” and we prayed together for Cameroon. James’ father was moved to share his testimony of how the Lord empowered him to witness for the first time as he believed and obeyed Jesus’ command. On Sunday morning after group Bible study, Jeff Cummings delivered a message, “Do you love me?” based on John 21:1-25. After his message, Maria Wang presented “Prayer for the Nations: China” and Holly Wasechek, “Prayer for the Nations: Japan.” We prayed for China as well as for Japan. We offered our offerings for Japan and we will send them to Tokyo UBF as our five loaves and two fish for his work in Japan. Group Bible studies were led by Dr. Abraham Lee, Elizabeth Ralston, John Dang, Holly Wasechek, Maria Wang, and Emmanuel Sona. Thank God for the praise and worship team, music servants, presiders and prayer servants.
Through the conference, God helped us to think about his love. There is no greater love than the love of God shown to us through our Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross and rose again. The love of God is sacrificial, forgiving, life-giving, restoring, and reinstating. The love of God is complete, full, and perfect. The Risen Jesus visited and restored and transformed Mary, Thomas, and Peter and other disciples into powerful witnesses of Jesus’ resurrection and God’s love. Each of us accepted the love of God newly and prayed that we might serve Jesus’ sheep as our expression of our love toward Jesus. May God empower all our coworkers with the power of the Holy Spirit to feed Jesus’ sheep. May God establish 12 new house churches by 2012 and 120 disciples of Jesus in our ministry. Praise the Lord!
