I. One-to-One Bible Study

UBF emphasizes one-to-one Bible study. One who has studied a Bible passage prepares it with prayer and personal study, then he/she invites another student to study the Bible with him/her. They agree on a mutually convenient place and time to study the Bible and pray together. Using study questions as a guide, they seek to understand the passage and encourage each other to apply the Bible teaching to their personal lives. After each Bible study, students are encouraged to write their own testimonies about what they have learned. By writing a testimony, the word of God can be living and active in them.

2. Small Group Bible Study

Group Bible study is also encouraged. Group Bible studies are sometimes held on campuses and sometimes in the Bible houses. Frequently, the Sunday passage is studied in advance. Large chapters are divided into smaller Fellowship groups.

3. Weekly Fellowship Meeting

These fellowships meet weekly to study the Bible and to pray for one another and for God’s work throughout the world. These fellowships are also a place for leadership training.

4. Daily Prayer Meeting

In each UBF chapter, daily prayer meetings on campus are encouraged. Students meet to pray for their own campuses and grow in a sense of stewardship and Christian missionfor their campus, nation, and the world.

Most chapters have early morning prayer meetingsusing the Daily Bread booklet published by UBF. Members meditate on the word of God and write their personal testimonies based on the Bible passage. Through this discipline, they aim to find spiritual direction and receive spiritual power for each day.

5. Sunday Worship Service

Weekly worship services involve UBF coworkers, families, friends, and students often times from multiple campuses. Worship services include a Bible message, prayer, songs and sometimes a special mission report or testimony.

6. Bible School

Bible Schools or Bible Academies are held during breaks or on planned weekends. Bible passages are selected, and the messages are delivered by student leaders or graduates. This provides a good opportunity for messengers to grow in their Christan faith.
