Key Verse: Philippians 3:10 “I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,.”

I. Mission in Uruguay

1. General

Uruguay won the forth place in World Cup 2010. It was God´s blessing to Uruguay to receive such an honor. The percentage of Christianity in Uruguay is lowest in Latin America. But the rate of suicide is highest in Latin America along with Cuba. In this situation, university students and young people don´t open their hearts to foreigners. M. Jose and M. Rebekah Park faced a transitional time sending out two missionaries. Last year, M. Rebekah and M. José Park struggled to spread the gospel to Sebastian, Adrian, Nieves and other sheep. They also studied the Bible with a Korean missionary.

2. The conferences and Christmas Worship service

The Summer Bible Conference was held with the title "Feed my sheep" (John 21:17) for 4 days and 3 nights with 12 attendants. The attendants accepted the wonderful love of Jesus and his voice of calling.

By the grace of God, we celebrated the birth of the Messiah, Even though M Rebekah and I prayed for 18 participants, God encouraged us all the more in this Christmas worship service by sending 25 attendants.

3. The work of the Word of God.

We studied the gospel of Matthew. From chapter 21, Jesus came to Jerusalem and sent two disciples to bring a tied donkey and a colt with her. Missionary Goheun Rebeca Rhee made the decision to go to Guadalajara, her new mission field, based on the word of Mat. 21:3, "The Lord needs them." Uruguay UBF sent her with prayer and also we prayed to send more than 10 missionaries from Uruguay UBF.

Then, we studied Philippians and the Gospel of Mark. Sebastian was used as a messenger of Sunday worship for the message "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." He also received discipline to be a messenger for the passage of Levi's call. Thank God for giving us the abundant life-giving word of God in 2010.

II. The God I learned in this year 2010

The love of God is indescribable. The Lord my God is so merciful that he has given us his consolation in our lives. He is the Provider, Jehovah-Jireh. We participated in the Latin American directors’ conference in Venezuela and Southern South American conference in Bolivia and learned the ministries of these countries.

By the grace of God, I graduated from seminary which consists of 3 years of study. M. Rebekah studied with me in the seminary and she has 3-4 subjects left to finish. The self-supporting missionary life was the subject of agony as my Achilles heel to be resolved with prayer and God´s wisdom.

God gave me the strength to run a short marathon of 10 km with the personal record of less than 50 minutes. God gave me the joy of running looking at beautiful nature created by God's hands. I thank God for giving health to M. Rebekah and for sending us an Uruguayan family of faith with whom we share the friendship in Christ.

III. The direction of year 2011.

My key verse is Deuteronomy 6:5 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”

1. We pray to raise up one Abraham of faith and one Sarah of faith.

2. We pray for self-supporting job.

3. To love God´s word (Bible Reading and preparation of message) and for the life of prayer.
