Report of the 7th KIMNET Prayer Assembly
KIMNET (Kingdom Inter-Mission Network)'s 7th Prayer Assembly for All Nations was held at the Korean Community Presbyterian Church of Atlanta during October 29-31, 2014. Speakers from the North America Korean churches, mission organizations and missionaries from Asia, Africa, and Latin America presented messages, mission strategies, and mission reports to 150 attendants. Main topics were lay mission, new leadership, and networking for world mission. Thirteen UBF missionaries attended the conference with Pastor Abraham Kim (KIMNET co-president). Dr. Samuel G Lee (Canada) gave a lecture about “UBF Reflections (Testimony Writing),” explaining the biblical and historical significance of Bible reflections and its benefits for spiritual formation. M. James Lee (South Africa) gave an Africa mission report based on his life testimony. Both presentations were well received by all who attended. M. Jacob Lee (Assistant secretary general of KIMNET) led a panel discussion. Evening meetings were dedicated to prayers for USA and Europe, Oceania, Middle East, Asia and Africa. M. David Kim (KIMNET coordinator) and Dr. Ezra Cho (Washington D.C.) led two prayer sessions. All attendants earnestly prayed for spiritual revival of America and the November 4th election.
During the conference, many leaders shared their desires and efforts to build their churches to be missional. We realized that UBF can contribute for those local churches by sharing our experiences and practices in discipleship and lay mission. May God use UBF as a source of blessing and encouragement to all churches of the world. The 8th KIMNET Prayer Assembly will be held at the Grace Korean Church at Fullerton, California during November 4-6, 2015.
