Guatemala Christmas Worship Service, 2014
The Guatemala UBF Christmas Worship Service took place at our church on December 14, with about 50 attendants. We are sorry to the Lord for not offering more time to him in preparing for the worship service. For we not only gave him sacrificial offerings for preparation of the Central American Summer Bible Conference next year, but also remodeled the center. However, we studied in group the word for the worship, putting disciples first, and listened to the message, and then presented the Baby Jesus with our treasure, Guatemalan dance, which we prepared aiming for the Central American Conference. Sh. Dimas delivered the Christmas message, “The Good News of Great Joy.”
With a lack of public security being top-ranked in the world this year again, and although Guatemala has been stained with sad news, such as murders, abductions and so on, we cannot help thanking God for the Baby Jesus who has constantly given us true joy and peace. This year, particularly, the Lord helped Brother Felix come back with his wife and daughter, so that we might be very pleased with him and owe all thanks and glory to the Lord.
This Sunday, Sh. Eduar and Shs. Sylvia are going to establish a house church. We pray that God may help house churches continue to be established and also help families who left to come back, so that many house churches may be established. May God bless the united conference in Caribbean, Central America next year, and also bless Christmas Worship Service and New Year’s word and direction in each chapter, each country, and each continent. I thank coworkers around the world for praying for Guatemala. (reported Dec. 18)
