Praise be to our Heavenly Father for bringing Hyde Park and Milwaukee ministries together conference titled “Learning to Love”! It was held over Labor Day weekend Sept. 3-5 at Camp Timber-Lee in Wisconsin.

This conference was the culmination of a 9-week series of snapshots of those who showed how to love others well. Pastor Paul Dang Jr. spoke on Philippians 1:9 in our prayer “that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight.” Small groups met for honest reflection on how God has loved us and how God is calling us to love others. Pastor J. Daniel Yoon guided us in deep reflection on Psalm 42, and Pastor J*ames Tetzlaff shared on God’s definition of love through 1 Corinthians 13 and 1 John 4.

We were encouraged through faith-filled worship, fellowship, and camp activities together. The sunshine of God’s love shone brightly as we celebrated the baptisms of J*ames and A*nnabelle Toh at the conclusion of the conference. The children and youth were blessed too, including through a study of Joseph’s life.
