THE NEW JERUSALEM

Passage: Revelation 21:1~27

Key verse: 6,7

1. The dwelling of God is with men (1-8)

The new Jerusalem is the dwelling place of God and his people. God himself will wipe away all tears and there will be no death or sorrow or pain. Jesus is the Beginning and the End. He gives living water to the thirsty and helps us overcome. Those who are cowardly and unbelieving, who do not drink the water of life, will be cast into the fiery lake of burning sulfur (along with the murderers, idolators, adulterers, etc.)

2. The Bride of the Lamb (9-27)

The holy city, the new Jerusalem, is called the Bride of the Lamb. It is a city that is beautiful beyond description. But the most wonderful thing about it is that God and the Lamb are its temple. There is no need for any light, for God gives it light and the Lamb is its lamp. All nations will walk by its light. Nothing impure will ever enter there.

Prayer: Lord, I want to dwell with you in your holy city. Give me living water and grace to overcome the world.

One Word: Jesus, the Alpha and the Omega
