THE WHOLE EARTH IS FILLED WITH HIS GLORY

Passage: Psalm 72:1~20

Key verse: 19

1. He will judge in righteousness (1-4)

David wrote this prayer for his son, Solomon. It is also a prophecy about the coming Messiah. A righteous king brings blessing to his people. He rules with justice. He defends the helpless, crushes the oppressor, and saves the children of the needy. God blesses the land he rules by making it prosperous and fruitful.

2. He will endure as long as the sun (5-7)

We live in a world limited by time and space, but God's kingdom is eternal. During our short time on this earth, we must live as citizens of God's kingdom--then we may live under his righteous rule forever.

3. All nations will be blessed through him (8-20)

When the King reigns from sea to sea, all nations will bow down and worship him. His rule is righteous and just, and all nations will be blessed through him. May the whole earth be filled with his glory.

Prayer: Lord, may your kingdom come and your will be done on earth as in heaven.

One Word: The earth is full of his glory
