1. Salvation revealed to the nations (1-3)
Let us sing a new song of praise to God who has done marvelous things, for he has made his salvation known to all nations. When God chose one man and trained him in faith, God had the whole world in his heart. He showed love and faithfulness to his chosen people; he wanted to bless them and make them a blessing to all nations. He wanted to use them in his salvation work. This psalm looks forward to Jesus, through whom God keeps all his promises.
2. Shout for joy, all the earth (4-9)
Let us join all nature in thanking our God for his mighty work of salvation. Let each of us thank him and sing to him a new song of praise for his work in each of us. Let us praise him for his salvation which extends to the ends of the earth. Let us participate in his saving work through prayer and praise morning by morning.
Prayer: Lord, you have done marvelous things. I praise you and worship you. Let all the earth rejoice in you.
One Word: Shout for joy in the Lord
