PRAISE THE LORD, O MY SOUL

Passage: Psalm 103:1~22

Key verse: 2

1. Remember God's grace (1-18)

The Psalmist praises God with all his heart and soul for his wonderful grace. What does God do for me? He forgives my sins; he heals my diseases; he redeems my life from the pit. He crowns me with love and compassion and satisfies me with good things so that my youth is renewed like the eagle's. His blessings are not only personal--his throne is established in the heaven and he rules over all. He works righteousness and justice for the oppressed. God makes himself known in the Bible. His way of dealing with his sinful children is described in verses 8-14. He is a compassionate Father who knows our weakness, and he loves us anyway. He forgives those who fear him and buries our sins in the bottom of the sea. Man's days vanish like grass, but God is eternal.

2. Let all creatures praise God (19-22)

God created all things for his glory. Let all creatures join in praising him.

Prayer: Lord, teach my heart and soul to praise you every day.

One Word: Praise the Lord, O my soul
