1. By wisdom a house is built (1-9)
Instead of envying wicked men, we should desire wisdom and knowledge from God. By wisdom a house is built and is filled with beautiful treasures. The wise has great power. He can wage war against Satan and win the victory. Fools despise wisdom and the schemes of folly lead to sin.
2. Hold back those staggering toward slaughter (10-12)
The wise man does not falter in times of trouble. He rescues those being led away to death. He holds back those staggering toward slaughter. If we say, "we knew nothing about this," God will judge us for making excuses. God will repay each person according to what he has done.
Prayer: Lord, you repay according to what we have done. Help us seek your wisdom and rescue many dying souls.
One Word: Rescue the perishing
