TRUST IN THE LORD FOREVER

Passage: Isaiah 26:1~27:1

Key verse: 4

1. The path of the righteous is level (1-11)

The city of Jerusalem, when restored, will be a strong city of salvation, and all will sing the glory of God. Those who trust in Him will be kept in perfect peace and He will make their way smooth. What characterizes the righteous? They walk in the way of His laws. He is the desire of our hearts; who our soul yearns for. His judgments teach righteousness. In contrast, the wicked go on doing evil, abusing grace. They will see His hand and be put to shame.

2. Your dead will live (26:12-27:1)

God's people could not live up to the glorious purpose to which God called them. Their rulers could not help them. They gave birth to wind, and could not bring salvation to the earth. Yet God has accomplished it, enlarging the nation and gaining glory for himself. He has raised up the dead, bringing salvation to all through the gospel truth. We await the expression of his judgment in that day, when death (19) sin (21), and Satan (27:1) will be destroyed.

Prayer: Father, you are the Upright One. Help me walk in your ways, trust you, and be at peace.

One Word: God gives peace to a steadfast mind
