OUR SPIRITUAL ACT OF WORSHIP
Passage: Romans 12:1~8
Key verse: 1
A Living Sacrifice
12 Therefore, I urge you,(A) brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice,(B) holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform(C) to the pattern of this world,(D) but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.(E) Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is(F)—his good, pleasing(G) and perfect will.
Humble Service in the Body of Christ
3 For by the grace given me(H) I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,(I) 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body,(J) and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts,(K) according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying,(L) then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith;(M) 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;(N) 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement;(O) if it is giving, then give generously;(P) if it is to lead,[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

1. Offer our bodies as living sacrifices (1,2)
What should we do in view of God's great mercy on us? We should offer our bodies as living sacrifices. This is our true worship. God sacrificed His Son for us so that we could be saved and not condemned. In response to this, we should do no less than offer ourselves to Him as living sacrifices. We should commit our hearts and lives to God. It's not enough to go to church on Sunday and be holy for one day. We should live God-centered lives each day. We should renew our minds and not conform to the sinful ways of this world. Only then can we know what God's pleasing and perfect will is for us.
2. Serving Christ with humbleness (3-8)
Each of us, all together, form the body of Christ. To each of us, God has given certain gifts. To some, He has given the gift of teaching. To others, He has given gifts of prophesying, encouraging, leadership, or some other gift. We should be thankful for our gifts, but not let them make us proud. We should pray to recognize our God-given gifts and to use them to humbly serve the body of Christ.
Prayer: Lord, I thank you for the gift you have given me. Help me to use it to serve you.
One Word: Offer your body as a living sacrifice
