THOSE WHO SERVE AT THE TABERNACLE

Passage: Numbers 4:34~49

Key verse: 4:49

First, counting the eligible men (34-45). Only Levite men from ages thirty to fifty were counted for the work at the tent of meeting. These mature men, in the prime of their lives, were chosen to serve the LORD in this way. Serving God and supporting the ministry in this way was a great blessing. It also required personal sacrifice. Moses and Aaron counted these men according to the LORD's command. No clan was excluded. Have you also given your best to serve the LORD? Second, at the LORD's command (46-49). The total number of men who could serve at the tent of meeting numbered 8,580. Each man was assigned and told what to carry. Serving at and carrying the tent of meeting was a huge undertaking with many details. Moses and Aaron did not depend on their own ideas but did everything according to the LORD's command.

Prayer: Lord, please raise up men and women who offer their best to you in doing your kingdom work. Please begin with me.

One Word: Counted among God's servants
