DO GOOD TO ALL PEOPLE

Passage: Galatians 6:1~18

Key verse: 6:10

Frist, do good (1-10). Paul gives instructions on how the believers can do good. We should restore those who are caught in sin but also take care not to be tempted. We should carry each other's burdens, be very humble, and share what God has done through his word in our lives. As a principle, we must not sow to please our flesh but to please the Spirit. Then we can persevere in doing good for all people, especially the members of God's family in Christ. God will reward us at the proper time. Second, what counts is a new creation (11-18). Paul reiterated that circumcision is unnecessary in his conclusion. Even those who were circumcised could not keep the law. They had pushed the Galatians to be circumcised in order to boast about their influence over others. But Paul declared that he would boast only in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Circumcision and uncircumcision were meaningless - what mattered is the new creation.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for making me a new creation. Help me to do good to all people by the power of your Spirit.

One Word: Continue to do good by the Spirit
