I WILL ESTABLISH MY COVENANT WITH YOU

Passage: Ezekiel 16:35~63

Key verse: 60

1. You will bear the consequences (35-58)

The Lord would hold Israel accountable for her adulterous behavior. In his wrath he would judge them. They were no different than the Canaanites or Sodom. They even made those nations appear righteous by comparison. They became despised by others and would bear the consequences. The Lord judges sin completely.

2. An everlasting covenant (59-63)

In his judgment, however, the Lord never forgot his covenant. He promised to establish an everlasting covenant with them, to make atonement for them and restore them so they might remember his love and love him in return. In his judgment is the promise of restoration for all nations. (53-55) God's covenant is established in the forgiveness of sin.

Prayer: Lord, your judgment is the restoration of all things. May your will be done.

One Word: The Lord establishes his covenant
