GOD ANSWERED DANIEL'S PRAYER

Passage: Daniel 2:1~30

Key verse: 21

1. King's dream (1-13)

Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon had a dream which troubled him. He could not sleep. He ordered all his magicians, "Tell me what my dream was and interpret it." All the magicians were in panic saying, "Tell the dream first!" But the king insisted saying, "If you don't tell my dream and interpret it, I would cut you into pieces." They petitioned, "It is too difficult. No king has ever asked such a thing. No one can reveal it to the king except the gods." This made the king furious. He ordered the execution of all the wise men.

2. Daniel's prayer (14-30)

Arioch, the commander of the king's guard, arrived to execute Daniel too. But Daniel was calm trusting in the Sovereign Lord. He asked the king for time. He and his three friends prayed. God answered their prayers and the mystery was revealed to Daniel. Daniel could not but praise the Lord. Prayer made him victorious. The king asked, "Are you able to tell me the dream?" Daniel only glorified God, saying, "No wise man can explain your dream, but there is a God in heaven, who showed a dream to the king!"

Prayer: Lord, help me to pray rather than be paralyzed before impossible situations. Praise God who answers our sincere prayers!

One Word: God is the Sovereign Lord!
