BLESSED IS THE ONE YOU DISCIPLINE

Passage: Psalm 94:1~23

Key verse: 94:12

First, 'Rise up, Judge of the earth' (1-15). The wicked in the world are jubilant, arrogant, boasting and oppressive. They claim: 'The Lord does not see.' We should not be deceived by this! Our Lord is the Judge of the earth. He made the ear and hears all, He formed the eye, and sees all. He disciplines people and nations, teaching his laws. The most blessed are those whom God disciplines, whom are taught his word. Second, 'your consolation brought me joy' (16-23). Sometimes the wickedness of the world becomes personal. We feel great anxiety. But God has the back of those he disciplines. He gives help. By his unfailing love he gives support. Like the Psalmist, we can confess: 'God is my fortress and the rock in whom I take refuge.'

Prayer: Father, thank you for your unfailing love. Please help me study your word and be disciplined.

One Word: The Lord's love supports me
