THOROUGHLY EQUIPPED FOR EVERY GOOD WORK

Passage: 2Timothy 3:10~17

Key verse: 16,17

1. Continue in what you have learned (10-15)

Everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ will be persecuted. Paul lived a godly life. A godly life is a life with direction and purpose--a life of mission. Just as the Lord rescued Paul from every kind of persecution (Acts 14), so he will rescue us. Evil men oppose God's work by deception and lies. They go from bad to worse. But God's people must live according to truth. God's word is truth. We must continue to study and live by the word of God. It makes us wise for salvation. We must acknowledge God's work in our lives, so that we may continue to grow. We can grow through suffering.

2. All Scripture is God-breathed (16-17)

The purpose of Bible study is to make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ. God gave us the Bible to teach, rebuke, correct and train us in righteousness. The Bible equips the man of God for every good work.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for giving us the Bible. Help me to study it faithfully, memorize it and live by it.

One Word: Trained in righteousness; equipped for every good work
