GOD REIGNS WITH JUSTICE

Passage: Jeremiah 25:15~38

Key verse: 32

1. All nations are subject to God's justice (15-29)

Other nations would experience God's judgement through the Babylonians, for they too engaged in idol worship. God cannot tolerate sin and pride from any nation. They would have to answer to God. There was no way to avoid it. They must drink it. God's glory would be revealed to the nations. He is the God who reigns over all the earth with his justice and his righteousness.

2. All leaders must care for their people (30-38)

God would hold the surrounding nations accountable for their sins. The leaders of these nations were to care for their own people. Yet they persisted in their sins. Their people suffered under their leadership. People who have no hope for justice live in fear and despair. But our God is a God of justice who will bring corrupt leaders to account. In God, justice reigns.

Prayer: Lord, in a world full of injustice, how refreshing to know that you reign with justice, over all nations.

One Word: God's justice reigns over the earth
