THE LORD IS GOD; THERE IS NO OTHER

Passage: Deuteronomy 4:15~49

Key verse: 39

1. But if from there you seek the LORD (15-31)

Moses warned them to be careful not to make any idols or worship created things. They must remember God's saving grace (20) and not forget God's covenant (23). Moses foresaw their fall into idolatry (25) and exile (27). But in their plight, if they sought the LORD wholeheartedly, they would find him.

2. The LORD is God (32-49)

Moses asked: Has God ever spoken to or revealed himself to any nation like he did to Israel? The God of Israel is God, and there is no other. God brought them out of Egypt by his Presence and great strength (37). God gave them victory over enemies who were greater and stronger than they. What has God done through Jesus Christ, and how has he shown himself great to you?

Prayer: Lord, you are God, and there is no other. You brought Israel out of Egypt. You raised Jesus from the dead. You saved and changed my life. I trust and worship you.

One Word: Seek and obey the one true God
