HE IS RISEN!

Passage: Mark 16:1~8

Key verse: 16:6

First, 'Who will roll the stone away?' (1-5) Several women went to Jesus tomb as soon as the Passover was over and regulations allowed them to take care of a dead body. They went to Jesus' tomb at sunrise to prepare his body for a proper burial. They knew that the Romans had laid a large stone in front to tomb to keep Jesus' body from being stolen. So, they wondered on the way who would roll the stone away for them. But when they got to the tomb they saw the stone already rolled away and a man dressed in a white robe, sitting at the entrance. Second, Looking for Jesus? He is in Galilee! (6-8). The man in the white robe was an angel, who had come to bring the good news that Jesus has risen! Jesus, the crucified, was not there. He had risen! The angel told the women to go and tell the disciples that Jesus would see them in Galilee, just as he had told them he would. The women left, trembling and bewildered. But they didn't say anything to the disciples, or to anyone, for they were afraid.

Prayer: Lord, thank you so much for the risen Jesus. May we tell the good news of the risen Jesus to all we meet.

One Word: He is risen!
