FIVE LOAVES AND TWO FISH

Passage: John 6:1~15

Key verse: 9

1. Where shall we buy bread? (1-6)

Jesus' healing brought a great crowd to him. The good shepherd Jesus had a compassionate heart for them. He was willing and ready to feed them out of nothing. But he first tested Philip asking, "Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?" Jesus wanted to train the intelligent Philip to have practical faith in Jesus to feed many with Jesus' shepherd heart.

2. Here is a boy! (7-15)

Philip was very smart but failed the test with a negative mind. He did not know or have Jesus' shepherd heart. He had no faith in Jesus who can feed 5,000 out of nothing. Andrew was different. He understood Jesus' shepherd heart. He had faith in his power. He wanted to co-work with whatever small thing he had. Jesus accepted his 5 loaves and 2 fish. He used them to feed 5,000 with 12 basketfuls of leftover. When the crowed wanted to make him a king (Burger king!), Jesus left them.

Prayer: Lord, you want to feed all people of the world! Here I am, a small servant, with little talent and short Bible knowledge. Use me to feed many.

One Word: Find and give your 5 loaves 2 fish to Jesus to feed many!
